Did you enjoy last week’s blog post about PSY’s “Gangnam Style”? We hope so, because we might have to do another PSY post if he and Justin Bieber do something awesome together! 😀
This week, we have chosen an extremely well-known K-Pop song. We’ve heard that this song was ranked No. 1 in Thailand for over 50 weeks. That’s nearly an entire calendar year! We are very happy to finally introduce this song, especially after receiving many, many requests!
Dearest TTMIK listeners and readers,
Have you recently encountered a music video by a certain Korean artist that’s gone viral like crazy with over 21,000,000 YouTube views in a matter of a few weeks? This video is seriously a worldwide Internet sensation and the world is getting hooked on the song. It has even appeared on CNN News! Do you have a clue as to what it is?
We had already selected this week’s song, which just happened to be one of the most beloved K-pop songs in recent history, but we couldn’t help but change it at the last minute. This new hit song deserves a TTMIK lesson so you can get a better understanding of the song.
We are talking about PSY’s “강남 스타일 (Gangnam Style)”!
Happy weekend, everyone!
Are you planning to study Korean over the weekend? We hope you can spare some time to study a couple more Korean phrases with us. We are always going to be here to help you develop your Korean language skills, 하나부터 열까지(in every possible way)!
Sometimes, taking a shower before you sit down to study helps you feel refreshed, which can help you focus more. Showers really give you that fresh feeling 머리끝부터 발끝까지 (from head to toe)! Unfortunately, during this time of year, it’s unbelievably hot and humid in Korea, so the refreshing effect of taking a shower only lasts a couple of minutes. Crazy, right? We really hope you’re experiencing much better weather wherever you live!
I’m sure you’re really anxious to get right into our 3rd “Learn Korean with K-Pop” song, so let’s not waste any more time!
