  • Chris Tyler

Just wanted to say these lessons are really awesome! I spend about 1 1/2 hours a day travelling to work and back, so I use the time to listen to TTMIK everyday! 🙂

I noticed the ‘internal flash player’ for is not included in the last 2 lessons, is this intentional? (by internal flash player I mean the little grey play thing that plays the lesson without having to download the mp3 first.)

  • Wan

    저는 선생님을 정말 좋아해요… =)

  • Mindy

Is there something wrong with the audio? Isn’t this the audio for the next lesson on ‘If, in case’?

  • Jake See

Why does 나쁘다 (나빠) conjugate differently than 예쁘다 (예뻐)?
    Or am I mistaken?
Thanks in advance for any advice

    • Irene

      Hi Jack

      Let me try

      1. 나 쁘 (bad)

When the stem ends in the
vowel ‘ㅡ’, it is dropped. This makes
아 in 나ㅃ the last vowel. Add아and it becomes나ㅃ아and conjugates to나빠.

      2. 예쁘 (pretty)

When the stem ends in the
      vowel ‘ㅡ’, it is dropped.
There is noㅏ or ㅗ in 예ㅃ, add 어 and it becomes 뻐 and hence예뻐

Refer to Level 1 Lesson 16…

Hope I am correct…..If not, please correct me.

      : )

    • Irene! Exactly right.^^ 맞아요.

  • 이민호 너무 좋아해요. ^^

  • myra

are descriptive verbs are adjectives? in korean they are always in the present form of the verb??? (confused)

  • Ginie

선생님들 재미있어요 그레서 한국어 공부하는 거를 좋아해요!

I have a question. Very often, when HyunWoo says something to KyeongEun (like, “let’s say this”, “why not do this”, “could you say that..” etc.) she answers with “네, 좋아요”. I understand that she’s agreeing but is this like saying “yeah good idea” or more like “sure, I’ll do it”?
Sorry if this has already been asked/answered :p)
    Thanks again :p)

    • 좋은 질문이에요! : )

“네, 좋아요” can mean a variety of things.

      “That sounds good.”
      “I like the idea.”
      “I’m ok with the idea.”
      “Fine by me.”

      I hope this helps!

    • Ginie

Thank you! Now I see what would be the equivalent in french, this was very helpful :p)
      Thanks again!

  • hi….. i’m not sure wether i spell the word correct or not…. if there’s any correction please tell me

  • Mai

    Hi teacher,

Could you please explain the role of “Descriptive verbs + [ha-da] combination”?

    Thank in advanced.

  • rina kim

    비스트를 진짜 좋아해요!
    갈비살 좋아요.
    TTMIK 너무 좋아해요!
    저는 장현승이 제일 좋아해요~!

  • Lily

Initially, I found it is quite difficult for me to understand the difference between 좋아요 & 좋아해요.

After listening the audio lesson twice, I understand the correct usages of these two words now.

    • I am pleased to know that it was helpful!

  • Shannon

Is there a way to conjugate things to say something like “I like to eat” or “I like to sleep”. How would one go about saying this?

    • When it comes to “like to do”, you can say it “–하고 싶다” in Korean.

      For example,

I like to eat. 먹고 싶다.

I like to sleep. 자고 싶다.

I like to run. 달리고 싶다.

I like to go. 가고 싶다.
