  • Your iyagi is useful and very interesting.
My blood type is O, and I love my blood type.
The image of O is merry and good-nature, I think. : -) hoho
This is often applied to a variety of situation properly.
Um.. so it is fun and, on the other hand, it is strange.
I heard that in Mexico, Most of the Mexican people’s blood type is O.

Maybe, I think too, part of the korean has stereotype on special things.
I guess it is because of strongly traditional belief about their superstition in Korea only. That thoughts spread around many people and they believe it easily.

  • 저는 o형 소녀다^^

If nothing else, it would be nice if you added an English pdf transcript file for those of us that are still in the beginning of learning Korean so that we could at least learn through hearing this conversation AND have the actual translation. Also, its a very good subject that is very specific to Asian culture. I guess I will just have to rely on the Wiki source for the expansion of this discussion. 검 사 합 나 다

박동선 씨의 “혈액형에 관한 간단한 고찰”이라는 만화책을(중국어로 번역된 버젼) 읽어봤는데 재미로만 본 거예요. 전 B형인데 맘에 안 든 성격묘사?가 있는 경우에는 그냥 넘어가요. 좋은 거만 믿어요.. ㅎㅎ

Why is that so important for a Korean to know ? I’ve seen it in the profiles of korean singers too, they have the blood type at their dates.

    전 베트남사람이에요
저같은 경우에는 자신의 혈액형을 잘 몰라요, 베트남 사람들도 혈액형에 대한 관심이 별로 없어요
    근데 그 혈액형-성격 관계를 알죠, 또 재밋다고 생각하고 (좀 한국영화덕이에요 ^^)

  • I don’t actually know my bloody type. It doesn’t take on as important a meaning in the UK and when I asked my mother, she said she’d have to find out. I suppose I should know living in Korea for almost four years ^^;;

  • Ariel

  • Joey Rozaldo

my blood type is O…. it means “Ooow-some”… hahahah

  • I hope there was a translation in every Iyagi~ >< kkk

    btw, mine is AB~~ ^^

  • eunhye2207

Are those your real bloodtypes, 선생님들? 경은씨and 혀진씨, Type A. 현우씨 and 석진씨, Type B?

  • 동레이(Doris)

  • RLee

    재미있는 얘기 해줬서 감사해 드립니다.
    질문 하나 있습니다.

헌우씨가 했던 말: “저는 일단 B형이에요.”
    이 경우엔 ‘일단’뜻이 무엇입니까?

  • Rlee

아, 입장료 안 냈잖아요! 저의 혈액형은 A- 입니다.
부모님의 한국 친구들 저더러 가끔 혈액형 문다고 했으니까
    우리 엄마께서 저한테 알러주셨습니다.
    근데 여태까지 혈액형별 성격을 몰랐습니다.

저의 혈액형별은 좀 비급한 것은 한심합니다…..

  • Christine

Lol.. I think it’s a bit hard to understand the conversation without the English translation. So, I’ve tried to translate it with google translate. Although it’s not a perfect translation, it helps a lot because you kinda know what they are talking about… (you can match what they are saying with the words that you already know)…

I wish I can understand Korean a lot more and able to watch Korean drama and listening to Korean radio without any translation needed…

  • happyvirus

From what I heard these are the translations for each blood type:
The As are the timid people, the Os are the lively ones, and the Bs are those who don’t care about others and just think of themselves. XD I didn’t hear anything about AB.

I remember our teacher telling us a story about 4 people with different blood types having dinner. While everyone was seated and enjoying their meals, AB, being the weird one, suddenly went out of the restaurant. O, being the helpful one, followed AB to help him/ask his problem. A, being the worrisome and self-conscious one, asked B if he was the reason why AB left. B, being the one who doesn’t care about other people, just continued to eat. LOL.
