I am glad that I purchased both books. Even though I thought I knew most of the words in book 1, I learned some new words in the example phrases for each word. Having the context and the audio for each word has been very helpful!
I’ve used the TTMIK grammar books for about a couple years now, and I feel like I always had a hard time learning vocabulary, and it’s been one of my weakest points. However these books have definitely pushed me to the right direction. I like that theres some exercises for the words, and how they’re broken into smaller pieces, with a little story. Definitely better than just trying to go down a vocabulary list!
These books take a new and unique approach to teaching vocabulary. Because of this, remembering the words is easier, and it gives you a big confidence boost!
Before My First 500 Korean Words Book 1 I kept hearing I should read things that are on my level and I would think easier said than done!
