Hello! My name is Bruna and I am from Brazil. I have been morously studying since last year, but finally took it seriosly by March/April 2020. First I wanted to thank you guys for all your hard work, your material has helped me a lot already! Also, I was trying to make some sample sentences by myself to keep the content fresh in my mind and a doubt came up. Is it right to say 3시부터 공부해요 4시까지, in this order?
Hi! I’m a beginner and currently on Lesson 7. I noticed something and I’m curious. Why is that “ㅅ” in 이것 [i-geot] became a “t” in the Romanization?
Hi! At the beginning and mid-word “ㅅ” makes an “s” sound and “t” at the end of a word. So since the “ㅅ” for 이것 is at the end of a word it sounds “i-geot”. Like 사랑, the “ㅅ” is in the beginning, it sounds “sa-rang”.
Hi! The pronunciation of ㅅ can be more similar to “t” than “s” depending on the syllable. In the audio for this lesson you can notice how 이것 sounds more like “i-geot” than “i-geos”, so ttmik changes the romanization a bit to make it more similar to the actual pronunciation 🙂
That’s why! Thanks for explaining! 🙂
Audio? Where?
lets’s practice it. ig : andinianggias
This make learning korean easy and very understandable. I really love your voices. I think you are all good looking 🤣
Can I add you on Kakaotalk to practice? My Id is jonathanneam 🙂
Hi,
I like TTMIK a lot, and it helps me learn a lot of things in a fun and easy way.
I have a question, though. Maybe someone already asked about it, but I don’t know how to find it, so excuse me if this was already talken about.
I listened to the dialogue in lesson 26, and made my own transcript. When I went to check it with yours, I noticed I didn’t hear the sentence that is listed on 14th line : 현주 : 괜찮아요. 감사합니다 !
I did not hear that two sentences too. Maybe they lost them.
This is so helpful! Amazing. Thank you.
