Is anything that can specifically help me with tenses? Like past and present and future I’m still a bit confused on it! I’m on lesson 22 right now~ so maybe recommend a book or something or a video link explaining? Anything is fine!

Hey, i am doing lesson 7 rn.
But i don’t get this part:

이거 책이에요. [i-geo chae-gi-e-yo.] = This is a book.

In lesson 6 you say the definition is : 이거 = this, this one
But i am not sure why you use 거( in the sentence above)

Because you can only use 이 for this.

  The direct translation is “This THING(가) is a book.”
  
  It is used to specify what the subject is you’re talking about. If you say “this book is good” – 이 책 좋아요 – then you obviously don’t need it because you’re using “book” as the proper subject.

  Hi, as what i’ve understood 거 is “thing” so when you say 이거 is simply “this thing” or “this one”. Same goes for 그거 “that thing” or “that one” and 저거 “that thing (over there)” or “that one (over there)”. Hope that helps. 😁

  이 is used for sentences like “this coffee is delicious”. Here, 이 is used as a modifier and NOT as a pronoun.
  이거 is used to point at an object, and is used in sentences like “this is coffee”. Therefore, 이거 is used as a pronoun.

i have “calculated” if i do 1 lesson a day till lvl 9 its gonna take around 8 months so maybe take 2 in a day not sure hmmm

  We recommend you to study step by step, and eventually your speed will go up to complete all the courses which means you might able to finish them before 8 months. Take your time!

  Sorry for the confusion. Essential courses are about grammar, so it is a bit higher level than studying vowels and consonants. If you just start studying Korean, Hangeul Master is recommended. Here is a link of the book; https://talktomeinkorean.com/product/hangeul/

I cannot begin to tell how much I love TTMIK. I have been this website as a source for learning Korean for a long time and it never fails to amazes me. They have really helped me get to a level where I feel confident to talk to a Native speaker. They have great teachers and their content is great. Also, they provide so much content for free.
