EPIK HIGH will be making their big return to California’s premier Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, event officials confirmed on January 12.
The South Korean hip-hop trio will be performing on Day 1 of the three-day event, joining other major international acts like Harry Styles, Daniel Caesar, Big Sean, NIKI, and Carly Rae Jepsen. The event repeats for a second weekend overall, so Day 1 will be held on both April 15 and 22, with the event running from April 15-17 then April 22-24 overall.
This is EPIK HIGH’s second time on the Coachella lineup, having become the second-ever South Korean musical act to perform the festival with their appearance back in 2016. They were also scheduled to perform alongside K-Pop boy group BIGBANG at the 2020 festival; however, the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the first-ever South Korean act to perform at Coachella was experimental husband-wife duo EE, famous for their contribution to MFBTY’s “Buckubucku” featuring BTS’s RM. K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK also famously played the festival in 2019, with segments of their performance seen in their 2020 Netflix documentary ‘BLACKPINK: Light Up The Sky.’
According to Coachella promoters Goldenvoice, Weekend 1 of this year’s Coachella event has sold out. However, Weekend 2 tickets can be purchased through the festival’s official homepage at coachella.com.
